Crochet 101
Learn the 6 basic crochet stitches (chain, single, half double, double, triple, and slip). In this class we will begin work with practice swatches, which can be used as coasters, to learn the basic stitches. When you feel comfortable working the stitches you can move on to a small project either the soap sachet or the face cloth. The class is designed to work at each student’s individual pace. There will be no pressure to keep up with the other students or to slow down in order to let the other students catch up. If you finish your project in less than the 4 classes you can start a 3rd project of your choice, I will help you read through the pattern and get started on the project. Heather has many books and patterns to choose from and some very yummy yarns too!Materials:
“How to Crochet”, The National Needle Arts Association
Crochet Hook size H
1 skein New York Cotton – color of your choice
Paper and Pen for taking notes
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Will provide the patterns for the face cloth and soap sachet.
