fellowship and get tips from fellow stitchers.
We now have added a new daytime session,
Tuesdays from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. As well as
Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.

 

 

 

 

Sheep to Shawl
Summer Camp

For ages 7-13
Session 1 June 28th- July2nd
Session 2 July To Be announced
Time: 8:30am - 12:30pm

Learn the ways of the pioneers. The children will learn about different types of sheep and fiber animals. Then we will go through the sheering and cleaning process of an actual sheep that lives here at the Store. From there we will learn how to spin the wool that we cleaned by using a drop spindle. Once we have spun a skein of yarn we will spend a day dying our wool with natural dyes and Kool Ad. Then we will spend time learning how to knit with the yarn that we created. The finished project is a small knitted change purse.

We do ask that parents do not stay. If you need to work out a time schedule I am more than willing to talk to you about that. Cost $130 per child.($100 for the second child.)
This will cover all supplies and a light mid morning snack.
